Spent new years eve with friends. New years day was spent either in the pool or under the air conditioner as it was hot. I know a couple of people who were nursing alcohol self inflicted headaches.
Today everyone up as we are off to Forster where we took a cruise around Wallis Lake which included a two course lunch. Some information - there are 26 islands within Wallis Lakes, Charles Godwin who was one of the first settlers in 1863, within the upper reaches of the lake it has 30 different kinds of sea sponges; an introduced species were the black swans - now they are everywhere within the Lakes area. Whilst on our way home we were befriended by a pod of wild dolphins who were swimming around/under the boat it was fascinating. At the front of the boat the 'daddy' would come up and blow water all over people who were hanging over the bow, me included.
